LHHL Grants - 2008-2009 Fiscal Year

Each year the committee reviews requests from co-sponsoring organizations to fund special projects. The requests are evaluated based upon the need, objectives, and costs of each project and awards grants as resources allow. The committee also requires a "close-out" report as a means of ensuring accountability for the grant.

Each year the honoree(s) may designate a pro-life agency to receive a $500 grant. Rev. Duane Motley (2008 honoree) chose to have his grant go to the New York Family Research Foundation.

Rochester Youth for Christ - Successful Pathways received a grant for $2000 to send teenage mothers and their babies to a one-week Christian Camp, designed specifically to meet the needs of young mothers and their children.

Adult Stem Cell Initiative received $1700 to help bring pro-life speaker Dr. Richard Burt to Rochester. Dr. Burt will give two presentations about his research and effective use of adult stem cell therapy for persons with autoimmune diseases.

CompassCare Pregnancy Services received $900 to improve efficiency and productivity of medical Services staff by replacing an obsolete compter/software system and adding wi-fi.
