Residents BRAVE represents Brighton Residents Against Violence. For three years, it attempted to prevent Morris Wortman's abortion clinic from being built near the Lac de Ville neighborhood at 2100 South Clinton Ave. in Rochester. Its efforts were mentioned in The New York Times. An active member of BRAVE is Bob Bradley, who for six years has led a daily rosary during school's session with his students at McQuaid High School in front of the abortion clinic. BRAVE has served and continues to serve as a resource to other municipalities often in other states who are attempting to stop abortion clinics from being built in their neighborhoods.

Net Pregnancy Center Care Net Pregancy Center of Orleans County has served over 1000 men and women from across our region who faced an unplanned pregancy or who were making decisions about their relationships. In 2005, we added physician pregnancy confirmation services through limited ultrasound in order to empower women to make fully informed life-affirming choices. On the very near horizon, we will be offering testing for sexually transmitted infections as part of our ongoing abstinence education. Care CompassCare provides pregnancy confirmation, pregnancy options counseling, medical services including ultrasound exams, STD testing, and social services coordination, as well as abortion recovery services. Over 90% of abortion-vulnerable women choose to have their baby after seeing their baby on the ultrasound screen. CompassCare Reproductive Health Seminars give teens the information they need to make healthy choices and have now been accepted in 22 Monroe County schools. Seven centers from across the country have implemented CompassCare's Optimization Tool empowering them also to achieve 90% effectiveness.

Choosing Life of New York is a pro-life, pro-woman organization
seeking to open minds to its philosophy of pro-life feminism,
the belief that all people, by virtue of their human dignity,
have a right to live without violence from conception to
natural death. Our opposition to abortion is based on this
philosophy.
Typical activities include legislative advocacy, e.g. Unborn Victims of Violence Bills, outreach to college students about alternatives to abortion, networking with domestic violence prevention educators, making connections between vulnerable women and pregnancy and pregnancy-related issues, increasing awareness about chemicals and their effects on women and the unborn, and educating the public on the implications of embryonic stem cell research.

Heritage Christian Services is a thriving human services agency supporting more than 1400 children and adults with developmental disabilites through the operation of 51 homes, 14 day-programs, and a wide range of community and health services. HCS has been honored by NYS Office of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities as a COMPASS agency for continually meeting and surpassing state standards. Only seven agencies out of more than 850 such agencies across NYS have received such an honor. HCS is also known for innovative programs such as Springdale Farm in Ogden, Heritage Christian Stables Therapeutic Riding Center in Webster, and the newly opened Pieters Family Life Center, a premier health and wellness facility for people with and without special needs, located in Henrietta.

Legislators introduce 15,000 to 22,000 pieces of legislation during each two-year session. Rev. Motley and his staff review and monitor this legislation to protect your freedoms. He also works diligently with legislators and their staffs, informing and educating them on the Christian viewpoint. Rev. Duane Motley is founder and Executive Director of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, Ltd. (NYCF), which was founded in 1982. He is one of over 2,000 registered lobbyists in Albany. Rachel / Project Rachel/Rachel's Vineyard Ministries is a Catholic outreach of healing and reconciliation to women and men who are experiencing emotional and spiritual pain after an abortion. It involves a sensitive, confidential, private, post-abortion reconciliation program offering a renewed sense of hope and forgiveness. The physical, emotional and spiritual effects of abortion are matched to the belief that God's forgiveness and unconditional love is a significant part of the healing process. Project Rachel/Rachel's Vineyard Ministries desires to be the instrument to enable these individuals to experience the mercy of Christ and to become at peace with themselves and God.

Pro-Life
Planning Committee The committee is a loosely organized Catholic group of laity and clergy which welcomes all pro-life persons. Annually the committee and others come together on Good Friday morning to pray the Stations of the Cross outside a local abortion facility. The turnout for the prayer walk on that day is usually 200. In previous years, the committee has supported educational opportunities, other prayerful activities and sidewalk counseling at places where abortions are performed.

Thomas More Lawyers Guild The St. Thomas More Lawyers Guild was founded in 1975 and one of its purposes is to provide a forum whereby the Catholic position on moral and legal issues may be presented to counter the pervading secular humanism. Of primary concern is fidelity to the teachings of the Pope and the Magisterium. The Guild sponsors the annual Red Mass which is celebrated each September in Rochester.

Salvation Army The
Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical
part of the universal Christian church. Its message is

of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ
and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Army serves approximately 60,000 individuals each year in greater Rochester and provides to emergency services to individuals/families, including food, shelter, prescriptions and other necessities. The Army operates four homeless shelters (men, women, youth), Project ReDirect (education and job training), after-school and summer youth programs, Christmas Toy Shop, three Worship and Service Centers, and an Adult Rehabilitation Center (alcohol and drug rehabilitation).
